Contract Field Process Server
Requirements:
-Cell Phone (android or IPhone)
-Computer and internet
-Printer, scanner
-Clean Valid Driver License
-DBA or willingness to file one
-Prior process service or legal background preferred
-Reliable transportation
Process servers generally must be able to make a morning, afternoon and an evening attempt at service, often a Saturday attempt must also be made. Sunday attempts are not allowed on New York State Documents.
To be a process server you must be willing to knock on strangers doors and ask questions. There are times (not often) that our targets can be resistant to being served, it is expected that all process servers conduct themselves professionally at all times.
Documents must be served properly and in accordance to numerous statutes and rules. A good process server must be able to follow the specific instructions given for each service. The rules will change depending on the type of document being served and it is imperative very that a process server follow directions.
Time management is an important skill for a successful process server to possess.
